Caribbean Goes Country 2024 - February 2024

I-MED Pharma was pleased to donate bottles of I-LID ’N LASH® EYE MAKEUP REMOVER and I-LID ’N LASH® HOCL CLEANSING SPRAY to Caribbean Goes Country. Caribbean Goes Country is an event whose goal is to raise 20,000 lbs of school supplies, toys and medicine for the hospitals, as well as clothes, footwear, toothbrushes, etc. for the children in Varadero, Cuba. To participate, participants purchase a concert ticket for a large line up for local Canadian country bands, and then purchase a resort ticket to Cuba. Once in Cuba, each participant brings 10 lbs worth of donations. So far, for the 2024 trip, over 13,000 lbs have already been collected, making the event a huge success!

Canadian Vision Care's Mission Trip to Trinidad - February 2024

I-MED Pharma was proud to donate bottles of I-DROP® PUR GEL and I-DROP® MGD to Canadian Vision Care’s most recent trip to Trinidad. The volunteer doctors involved were Dr. Jason Pearce (Signal Hill Eye Care – Calgary), Dr. Aaron Patel (FYI – St. Albert), Dr. Riaz Ahmed (Mission Eye Care – Calgary), Dr. Toby Vallance (Maycock Eye Care – Victoria), and Dr. Scott Hauswirth (Dompe Pharma – Denver), who provided care to over 500 patients in the communities of Balmain, Tabaquite, and Tortuga, in association with the University of the West Indies Optometry School. The optometrists involved also worked with students during the outreach clinics, and provided lectures and workshops about clinical practices to students and community optometrists in Trinidad.

North Toronto Optometric Associates fundraiser for Optometry Giving Sight -
October 2023

I-MED Pharma was pleased to donate a variety of I-MED Pharma dry eye products, such as I-DROP® PUR, I-LID ‘N LASH®, I-RELIEF™️, and more, to North Toronto Optometric Associates in support of their fundraiser for Optometry Giving Sight. The clinic held a fundraiser in support of the World Sight Challenge in October to raise awareness and funds to provide children with vision exams and eyeglasses. The raffle included a variety of prizes, in which lucky winners had the chance to win some I-MED Pharma products.

The World Sight Day Challenge is Optometry Giving Sight’s largest annual fundraiser, bringing the global optometric community together to eradicate uncorrected refractive error by giving the gift of sight to families around the world.

FYIDoctor clinic, New Westminster x Monarch Place – October 2023

I-MED Pharma was proud to donate 200 jars of our I-LID ’N LASH® EYE MAKEUP REMOVER to FYIDoctor clinic in New Westminster, British Columbia. During the month of October, visitors were able to spin a wheel to win a prize when they made a monetary donation to the Monarch Place charity, which is an organization that helps provide shelter and support from women fleeing domestic abuse. Each spin wins a prize, ranging from lens cleaners and cloths up to eyeglass frames, drops, gift cards, etc. They raised $1800, and donated the rest of the jars to the charity.

Rocky Eye Care Centre fundraiser for Optometry Giving Sight - October 2023

I-MED Pharma was proud to donate bottles of I-DROP® PUR GEL and I-LID ’N LASH® EYE MAKEUP REMOVER to Rocky Eye Care Centre in support of Optometry Giving Sight’s fundraiser “The World Sight Day Challenge”. The World Sight Day Challenge is Optometry Giving Sight’s largest annual fundraiser, bringing the global optometric community together to eradicate uncorrected refractive error by giving the gift of sight to families around the world. This year, the theme was “Giving Together, Seeing Forever,” which celebrates the collective power of the optometry community to give the gift of sight to millions of people in need.

Optometry Giving Sight is a vital organization that focuses on providing training for local eye care professionals, establishing optometry schools, vision centers and optical labs, and delivering eye exams and low or no-cost glasses.

Tournoi de golf Omnium Vision - September 2023

I-MED Pharma was delighted to donate yoga mats and I-MED Pharma gift bags to Zieuté Optométristes’ 4th annual “Tournoi de golf Omnium Vision”. The day was a huge success, where over $31 000 was raised for the Mira Foundation, a critical foundation that helps match guide dogs to those in need in the Quebec City area.

MCF Medical Mission EyeCare – September 2023

 I-MED Pharma was proud to get the chance to donate to the MCF Medical team’s recent trip to Kenya, where they were able to treat over 3000 patients as a group that included GP, ObGyn, dentistry, and optometry. They were able to provide eye care services to 1200 of these patients, where I-MED Pharma’s artificial tears were prescribed to almost every patient.

The team was able to see students from the orphanage as well as the surrounding village of Ndalani . The majority of patients had complaints of photosensitivity, itch, and redness that were secondary to dry eye from UV exposure as well as sand and dirt from the environment.

Cycle for Sight – June 2023

I-MED Pharma is proud to have made a donation to “Cycle For Sight – Fighting Blindness Canada” supporting Macleod Optometry, under the team name “Eyevengers”. Although, this year’s ride was unfortunately cancelled due to the smoke from the forest fires in Alberta, we still acknowledge all the hard work that went into planning the ride, and are proud to support the cause. Since 2009, more than 5,000 riders have hit the road on their single or tandem bikes, raising more than $6.2 million for Fighting Blindness Canada – Canada’s leading charity funding vision research.

16th annual Sjögren’s National Patient Conference – April, 2023

The virtual event was a chance to hear a variety of experts provide tips on how to manage the Sjögren’s disease, discuss various topics, and held a Q&A.

Ladies Night with Eye Vitality – March 2023

Comfort Care Bags for Chemotherapy Patients in Toronto – April 2023

I-MED Pharma is proud to once again donate bottles of our I-DROP® PUR GEL to be placed in comfort care bags for patients undergoing chemotherapy at various hospitals in Toronto. Each bag contains various goods such as lip balm, lotion, snacks, crayons, and notebooks to help pass the time during their appointments and to help keep them comfortable. Each bag is hand delivered along with a note of encouragement to help bring a smile to their face!

Precision Cornea Centre – February 2023

I-MED Pharma is proud to have sponsored the Precision Cornea Centre’s 1st annual Keratoconus Fitting Day for patients with low income, who are considered legally blind from Keratoconus and in need of specialty scleral lenses. I-MED Pharma donated bottles of I-DROP® PUR, which were used during bilateral lens fittings and also donated to patients to use at home.

The Precision Cornea Centre was established in 2019 as a non-hospital academic subspecialty clinic in Canada devoted solely to cornea and anterior segment pathology. The Centre is part of public health care and welcomes patients from across Canada (all provincial health cards are accepted) and internationally.

Terre Sans Frontières – October 2022

I-MED Pharma is proud to have supported Pierre Martin O.D., of Lunettes En Vue, by providing I-DROP® PUR and I-DROP® PUR GEL for his humanitarian mission in optometry in Senegal with Terre Sans Frontières in October 2022. The mission saw some 750 people and all the bottles of drops were distributed. Exposure to the sun and smoke as well as heat are factors that can cause a lot of eye irritation.

Terre Sans Frontières provides development and emergency assistance to communities in the southern hemisphere, with a view to ensuring sustainable access to education, health care and decent income for all.

To achieve this, Terre Sans Frontières relies on strong local and Canadian forces, in particular professionals, who collaborate in the transfer of skills and the strengthening of partners.

Humanitarian aid enables these people to regain their dignity by offering them decent living conditions through assistance in the form of food, shelter, medical care, education, and aid.

Boys & Girls Club of Ottawa (BGC) – September 2022

I-MED Pharma is proud to have teamed up with Merivale Vision Care for their annual backpack fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club (BGC) of Ottawa, by providing items to help fill 300 backpacks for the 2022-2023 academic school year.

For almost one hundred years, BGC Ottawa, a registered charity, has provided free programming directly to children and youth in vulnerable neighborhoods.

Bandoleros Race Car # 13 – September 2022

I-MED Pharma is proud to be a supporter of car # 13, the Bandoleros race car team of Avery and Brad DeCoste, who race in Scotia Speedworld (SSW) in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The donation is used for general racing expenses (transportation of the car to the races, maintenance & race fees).

SSW has assisted in raising over $232,000 for local charities since 2002, including for the IWK Health Centre, which provides care for women, children, and families in the Maritime provinces, and The Dartmouth District Shrine Club, which has recently acknowledged SSW as a primary source of fundraising for their Burn Units. With 16 races in the SSW season, almost every race has a selected non-profit organization that is fundraised for.

What is unique about the “Bandoleros” race cars are that they are tiny; from the stands it looks like they can be driven by mice. These little stock cars with 30 hp Briggs & Stratton motors are designed for children and youth 8-16 years old.

Little Ray of Hope Learning Center – Kawangware School Scholarship – May 2022

I-MED Pharma is proud to be a supporter of Little Ray of Hope Learning Center – Kawangware School Scholarship.  An initiative of ICO (InnovativeCommunities.org) foundation, the Kawangware Scholarship program’s primary aim is to advance education in the area and provide funding and scholarships that will enable children to attend school. 100% of all scholarship donations go towards school fees, school supplies, transportation, uniforms, and meals. In addition, students will have access to services including a preventative health project (i.e., mosquito nets) and food hampers during school breaks for the families of Kawangware, Kenya.

Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital – April 2022

LSPRIG Distro provides free groceries and other essentials to Wilfrid Laurier University and Martin Luther University College students in an effort to challenge food insecurity. I-MED Pharma is delighted to have donated 75,000 items of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to MultiCaf, a great organization in Côte-des-Neiges that helps with food security and the fight against social exclusion.

With a mission to help the most vulnerable within the city of Montreal gain access to food resources in a safe and welcoming environment, MultiCaf continues to deliver on this mission during the COVID-19 pandemic.
