Daniel Hofmann is CEO of I-MED Pharma. Under his leadership, Daniel has led the company through a period of sustained growth—achieving over 20% annual revenue increases for eight consecutive years and expanding I-MED’s reach to more than thirty countries worldwide.
With academic credentials in Biochemistry, Strategic Management, and Human Resources, and an MBA from McGill University and HEC Montréal, Daniel combines scientific insight with strategic vision. He is passionate about advancing eye care through innovation, evidence-based medicine, and ethical leadership.
A seasoned entrepreneur and tech enthusiast, Daniel champions transformative change to embed continuous improvement across the organization, keeping I-MED Pharma agile, forward-thinking, and positioned for sustained global growth.
Daniel also contributes his expertise beyond I-MED, serving on several corporate and non-profit boards in Montreal.
Founder, Chairman of the Board, and Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Ilan Hofmann is a recognized leader in the international research community with various patents and publications to his name. Ilan has a wealth of industry experience and scientific knowledge and has led the development of many first-to-market products in the ophthalmic and orthopedic fields.
In his early years, Ilan was part of a team of scientists that developed clinical applications of the hyaluronan molecule in ophthalmic and orthopedic surgery, as well as for use in the treatment of dry eye disorders in humans and animals. Over the years, Ilan developed many innovative and unique products, which were licensed out to companies across the world. Today, his inventions have been commercialized in more than 30 countries, and as the patents have expired, have led to many other products based on these original inventions.

As President of I-MED Pharma, Jeff is responsible for driving the company’s success and growth. With a clear vision of the company’s future, Jeff is forward-thinking and makes informed decisions that impact the direction, resources, and operations of I-MED Pharma, while aligning with the company’s long-term goals.

Jeff leverages his expertise in sales analytics and data-driven decision-making to optimize sales processes, improve forecasting accuracy, and identify areas for improvement.

Laura Baldassare is a seasoned business leader with over 25 years of experience driving strategic initiatives and delivering results across multiple areas of the organization. As Senior Director of Business Execution, Laura works closely with teams across the company to align priorities, improve operational effectiveness, and ensure the successful implementation of key strategic initiatives. Her broad understanding of the business enables her to identify opportunities, navigate complex challenges, and foster collaboration between departments to drive organizational performance.

Director of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs
As Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Paul has a comprehensive understanding of global regulations and standards governing the industry and is passionate about the benefits that compliance brings to I-MED. He believes that by adhering to industry standards and regulations, companies can improve the quality of their products and maintain their reputation in the market.
With strong analytical skills, Paul identifies and eliminates regulatory or quality issues, implementing effective measures to address the root cause. In close collaboration with R&D and commercial teams, Paul ensures the seamless integration of regulatory requirements into product development, manufacturing, and Marketing strategies.
Paul is adept at building relationships and effectively communicating with regulatory authorities, facilitating successful interactions during regulatory inspections and product filing reviews.
